Buying the same laptop explicitly on behalf of your employer for office work is considered a B2B transaction and falls outside consumer protection rules.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\"><b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Trader vs. Private Individual (B2C vs. C2C)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"14\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Buying from a Trader (B2C):<\/b> Full EU consumer rights apply, including statutory guarantees, mandatory pre-contractual information, and the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Buying from a Private Person (C2C):<\/b> Standard consumer laws <b data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"59\">do not apply<\/b> when buying goods from another private individual (e.g., second-hand items on online classifieds or C2C platforms). Disputes from private sales are governed by general civil law, and European Consumer Centres (ECC-Net) cannot intervene in C2C cases.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14,2,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"14,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Marketplace Rule:<\/i> Under EU rules, online marketplaces are required to inform you before purchase whether the seller is a registered business or a private individual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Sole Traders in Poland (Extended Protection)<\/b><br \/>\nUnder Polish law, individual sole proprietors (<i data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"95\">osoby fizyczne prowadz\u0105ce dzia\u0142alno\u015b\u0107 gospodarcz\u0105<\/i>) purchasing goods or services for their business can enjoy certain consumer rights (such as the 14-day online right of withdrawal and statutory warranty claims), provided the purchase is <b data-path-to-node=\"15\" data-index-in-node=\"332\">not of a professional character<\/b> for them (i.e., falls outside their core business activities specified in public registers).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Parties of the contract EU consumer protection rules apply strictly to transactions concluded between a consumer and a professional trader (Business-to-Consumer \/ B2C).
